About Me
I was born and raised in New Jersey and was introduced to the agricultural industry through my family’s winery and vineyards. I gained an earlier interest in growing crops as a kid by working with my grandfather, who immigrated from Italy in the 1960’s, in his garden. Academics and work have brought me to California, Florida, Arkansas, and now Montana. My wife, Ariyana, and I moved to Montana in February of 2026 and are happy to call it home.
Experience
Throughout my time as an undergraduate at UC Davis, I worked at the Western Center for Agricultural Equipment where I was a Teaching Assistant for multiple Ag classes. My summer internships during college included work as a farm hand at vineyards and orchards in the Sacramento River Delta, a cellar hand at a winery in Lodi, CA, and field scout around the San Joaquin Valley.
My summers in graduate school included conducting small plot herbicide research trials in California water-seeded rice. I spent a year as a Greenhouse Manager at a research breeding site in Southwest Florida, working with 13 different fruits and vegetables including tomatoes, bell peppers, and squash. I then spent a year and a half as a Research Assistant at the University of Arkansas conducting small plot research in corn, soybeans, rice, cotton, and wheat, again focusing on herbicide resistance.
I hold a current Montana Commercial Pesticide Applicator License with the following pest control categories: Agricultural Plant, Right of Way, and Demonstration & Research. I also hold a current Remote Pilot License. I am currently working toward obtaining my CCA license.
Education
I attended UC Davis from the Fall of 2018 through 2023, where I earned both a Bachelor of Science in Plant Science with a focus on Crop Production and a Master of Science in Horticulture and Agronomy with a specialization in Weed Science.
Notable Achievements
While at UC Davis, I received multiple scholarships and fellowships for academic excellence and research efforts. I authored an article in a peer reviewed journal detailing my thesis work with a novel SOA herbicide in California rice.
Personal Interests
I enjoy the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and a good beer but can also be found at a rodeo cheering on my wife.
